An exciting new plant selected for introduction to growers during 2005 by George Lullfitz.
A small spreading ground cover form growing 20 cm to 30 cm high and 1m to 1.5 m in width.
This plant was selected for its low height and spread together with the attractive grey wedge shaped leaves. The new leaves are a pinkish purple and provide a great contrast.
The species occurs naturally across the south coastal region of WA
The flowers are a purple colour and are produced from spring through to autumn. Bird attracting.
It grows naturally in sand, granite sands and coastal sandhills.
A very desirable plant for landscape use because of the foliage colour and new growth. The size also makes it desirable as a ground cover and in foreground shrubberies and median strips. Responds to pruning.
